"Today I want to talk to you about being different. The word I am so known for in my community: she is annoying, she is not serious, she blows up too much (here I just like to speak my truth), she says the wrong things about people, etc. Yes, I AM different and I am proud! (I am also proud and not afraid to admit and work on my mistakes☺️). Think of Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Barack Obama, etc. If you study their bios, you'll learn they embraced their differences. Although for some back then "they didn't know what they were doing," "they didn't look a certain way," "they could not sing," "they were not smart enough," etc. for the majority they are winners now. However, the current respect and admiration did not happened for them overnight. I believe they had to embrace their differences and use them to their advantage to stand out. People don't follow people who are mediocre. People look for something interesting to hold on to. Take the difference you have in you and make it into an asset. Add belief in yourself and hard work and you are way on your way to success. It's not going to be easy. There are so many of us with unique differences. You may say: "Why her?? Why him?? Why not me??" Well, to that let me quote Tyler Perry who says that he got his success by the grace of God. Yes, we all want. However, God is the one who gives and takes. Do ask God for favors. Just know that if it does not happen, He may have a better will for you. After reading this post, go look in the mirror. Smile to yourself and say: "I am beautiful (handsome). I am unique. I love that I am different. I am going to make it!!!" See how you feel afterwords. If you don't feel anything, say it again and again and again till somewhere inside of you you find a new found strength you have never had before. Take that strength and use it to take the next productive step and the next step and the next step. When you add up all your steps you start feeling so good about yourself. The better you feel, the more you will do. The more you will do, the more people you will help. They more people you will help... well, now you just changed the world👏🏻 And to think it all started with recognizing, understanding and embracing that thing that makes you so unique and valuable.
